This position is an excellent opportunity to lead this initiative for one of Manitoba’s largest and most diverse employers. The Program Coordinator of the International Education Program will continue to expand the current International Education Program and will represent Winnipeg School Division at recruitment fairs all over the world.

This is a full-time permanent position under the direction of the Superintendent of Education Services. The Program Coordinator of the International Education Program is primarily responsible for ensuring the promotion, branding, and advertising of the Winnipeg School Division in key international markets, as well as for the direct recruitment and support of international students.

The Program Coordinator will also support International Education at the Winnipeg School Division through budget preparation, research and proposal writing, liaising with external contacts

**Start Date: July 1, 2023***

**Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Create and execute an international marketing plan for the WSD;
- Conduct market surveys and analysis to identify target markets for international student recruitment;
- Consult with schools and staff to identify programs of interest to international students;
- Develop international student recruitment materials, including translation into other languages when necessary;
- Organize WSD advertising to recruit international students, travel to tradeshows and recruitment fairs, and participate in marketing outreach activities;
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, government organizations and agencies to support international students;
- Develop revenue and expense projections for long range planning for international education, and make recommendations for the next budget year;
- Plan and implement workshops and events to promote international education;
- Research and write proposals for international education initiatives;
- Provide advice and counsel to international students in the development of an educational plan, and/o clarifying educational goals;
- Provide leadership and mentoring programs to international students to monitor progress and success plan;
- Develop and maintain the International Education Web Page;
- Work collaboratively with Homestay agencies;
- Travel internationally throughout the year to engage in recruitment opportunities.

**Qualifications***
- A Bachelor of Education Degree and teaching experience;
- Experience in leading the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for large organizations;
- Extensive knowledge of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Immigration and Refugee Protection Act/Regulations, and policies and procedures pertaining to international students;
- Instructional teaching experience and the ability to provide guidance and counsel to students in attaining educational goals;
- Previous experience in international education and international student recruitment preferred;
- Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset;
- Proven ability to provide a mature, competent, and professional presence with respect to external government and immigration officials, current and prospective students, and WSD leaders and staff;
- Understanding of WSD policies and procedures as they relate to students in general, in particular their

- Successful experience with planning for system improvement and growth;
- Exemplary communication, problem-solving, and team building skills;
- Exemplary technology, presentation, and group facilitation skills.
