Bookkeeper/controller

We are currently recruiting for a _**Bookkeeper/Controller**_ to cover a maternity leave until March 2024 contract with the possibility of extending.

**Major Accounting Responsibilities**:

- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Making entries into accounting software and internal databases as needed
- Integrate with Company financial systems as required
- Accurately pay invoices in accordance with the payment terms
- Reconcile financial statements and AR and AP accounts
- Prepare statistical and financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintain historical records by filing documents
- Government reporting, preparing returns and remittances
- Other duties as assigned

**Education and Job Experience**:

- College Diploma in accounting or relevant field
- 1-3 years’ experience using QuickBooks an asset
- Advanced Excel knowledge and capabilities an asset

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $43,900.00-$46,500.00 per year
