CanNorth is seeking a highly motivated full-time wildlife biologist to work with our talented team in Saskatoon, SK. Responsibilities in this position will include:
- Conducting field surveys in a diversity of environments with an emphasis on breeding birds (point count surveys in the boreal forest and grasslands of Saskatchewan), targeted wildlife surveys to include winter field work on snow track and/or aerial ungulate surveys, and avian risk assessments/nest searches;
- Environmental monitoring for a variety of projects including power, pipelines, and construction projects;
- Data collection and management;
- Liaising with clients and contractors in a professional manner;
- Technical writing (to include composing smaller screening memos to larger reports) and research skills;
- Working with First Nations and regulatory agencies.
