**Summary**:
The Quality Assurance Analyst will collaborate closely with Product Development and Engineering teams to ensure that Novari Health’s software solutions are delivered with the highest quality. This role involves automating tests, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines, and conducting performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability. The QA Analyst will also be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to execution.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with developers in an Agile/Scrum environment to design automated tests ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Write and execute automated API tests using Postman and JMeter.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enhance efficiency and provide rapid feedback.
- Execute performance and load testing strategies to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Identify, document, and resolve software defects in collaboration with the development team.
- Stay current with new test automation tools and technologies to continuously improve quality assurance practices.
**Organizational Responsibilities**:
- Actively participate in team scrums and contribute to daily stand-ups.
- Provide input on software design from a testing and quality assurance perspective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Report issues and track their resolution while adhering to team timelines.
**Education & Experience**:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in test automation development, with a focus on maintainable test scripts.
- Experience with Playwright or similar modern web testing frameworks.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and JMeter.
- Familiarity with load and performance testing to ensure reliability.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
**Technical Skills**:
- Proficient in Playwright for test automation.
- Experience with Postman for API testing and JMeter for performance testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration, especially in Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of test strategies, including unit, integration, and system testing.
- Familiar with Git standards
**Soft Skills**:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers and stakeholders.
- Proactive and innovative in recommending process improvements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (preferred):
- Microsoft certification or willingness to obtain relevant certification within 12 months.
- Any relevant certifications related to test automation (ISTQB) or cloud services are a plus.
**Working Conditions**
- Employee may sit for prolonged periods of time
- Prolonged periods of time viewing computer monitor and keyboarding
- Tight deadlines, with multiple and rapidly changing priorities
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Open office floor plan means noise and a regular flow of people around the office
- Employee may be required to travel (overnight) as required
**Hours Of Work**
- Support hours are defined as operationally required
- This position may be required to work a variety of shifts, days, evenings, or nights including weekends to potentially provide 24/7 support to clients
- Employee is designated as “on-call” staff member. (Employees are responsible for responding to after-hours support calls within 1 hour of initial contact when designated as being on-call for a given month)
- Expected to work from our Kingston office for a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely for 2 days
- Minimum hours of work each week is 40, unless otherwise agreed to between the employee and their manager
- Employee may be required to work additional hours, including weekends
