Job Description

Mendocino Forest Products Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mill Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This is a non-exempt position responsible for maintaining computer optimization system parameters for Mill Operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up optimizing software on all machine centers for various run types.
  • Check lumber sizes and calibrate machines to ensure lumber products are maintaining size and grade standards.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes.
  • Provide grade studies when requested or required.
  • Monitor efficiency and cost-effectiveness of product output.
  • Review final product to ensure quality specifications are met.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 10 years mill experience
- Must have grading experience, knowledge of redwood and white woods lumber grades, and good communication and people skills

Benefits:
This position requires strong computer skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Optimization Software is also required.
