Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Reports to: Warehouse and Inventory Manager

Position Overview:
he Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of Herbaland’s warehouse. This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and storing incoming goods, accurately picking and packing orders for dispatch, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment. The role also includes operating company vehicles to transport goods locally, ensuring timely and secure deliveries between locations.

Please find the key responsibilities of this position is as follows:

- Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and store goods in designated areas while adhering to company protocols.
- Prepare outbound shipments, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and timely dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and deliveries.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout to ensure efficient use of space and streamlined retrieval of products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following established procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Safely operate company vehicles for the transportation of goods between local locations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
- Maintain delivery logs and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Forklift certification or the willingness to obtain certification is desirable.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensures accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management, minimizing errors.
- Works effectively with others and supports a positive team environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and workflows as required.
- Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety guidelines.
