**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Director, designQ, as the** Estimator **you will provide custom pricing and take-off requests for Designers in the business unit. You also handle first level queries and concerns from team members.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Providing upgrade pricing to Designers, including material and labour costs.
- Ensuring the availability of requested items and explaining associated construction information to the Designers. Obtaining approval for special items as necessary, and completing material take-offs.
- Supporting Designers with estimating related inquiries during client appointments.
- Fostering positive relationships with trades and suppliers.
- Providing builder sales team with estimated pricing to build allowances.
- Researching and setting prices for new or unique upgrades to showcase in show homes.
- Conducting pre and post-appointment reviews for all client and show home files to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Assisting Management in various reporting functions.

**Essential Requirements**
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of estimating related experience.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Construction Engineering Technology, or equivalent is preferred.
- Training through high-school vocational program, business school or a job placement agency is an asset.
- Prior experience working in the Residential Construction industry or related field is preferred.
- Experience with SharePoint, sales and ERP software (NewStar, HubSpot) would be an asset.

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime may occasionally be required.
