**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Production Manager, as the **Estimating Manager**, you will oversee the estimating department and ensure the accurate and efficient estimation of project costs across our various residential construction projects. You are responsible for leading a team of estimators, developing comprehensive cost estimates, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to support project planning and execution. activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of estimators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Overseeing the preparation and reviewing of accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project budgets and monitoring costs throughout the construction process, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Evaluating and refining estimating processes and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
- Identifying potential risks and uncertainties related to project costs and developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project profitability.
- Leading the bid management process, including analyzing bid documents, preparing bid packages, and negotiating with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Ensuring that all cost estimates adhere to company standards and industry best practices, maintaining a high level of accuracy and reliability.
- Engaging in continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practice.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in residential construction estimating, with experience leading estimating teams and delivering high-quality, cost-effective projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, building codes, and industry standards.
- Negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and estimating software (BuildPro, SupplyPro, and NewStar).

**Work Conditions**
