**Job Opportunity: Psychotherapist (Child/Youth/Families)**

Virtual, Part Time (5 to 30 hours per week)
Salary range: $33-$43/hour

**About Us**

Eating Disorders Nova Scotia is a community-based organization with an audacious belief; that no-one should have to face an eating disorder alone.

We know that with treatment and support recovery is possible. We draw upon the lived experience of those who have been through an eating disorder, creating an accessible, welcoming, pro-recovery space and supports that are accessible, validating, and compassionate.

Our supports - including one-on-one Mentoring, Peer Support Groups, Peer Support Chat, Workshops,
Family support, Nutrition Counselling and Adult Therapy - are delivered virtually. A referral or a diagnosis are not required to start one’s healing journey. We know that recovery from an eating disorder is tough - accessing support and treatment shouldn’t be.

**About the Position**

We are seeking an experienced FBT-trained therapist with a passion for helping others to join our team.
This position works in collaboration with our Therapist, Dietitian and Peer Mentors to help people move forward in their recovery from an eating disorder, providing individual therapy sessions.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Conduct individual sessions via a secure virtual platform
- Collaborate on a multidisciplinary team with our Dietitian, Adult Therapist and Peer Mentors
- Provide clinical expertise to our Program Coordinator and the Peer Support Team
- Create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space for all
- Participate in our team meetings, and in ongoing training and monthly Interdisciplinary Rounds
- offered through our partner organizations.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or other related health field
- Be a member in good standing with their college or professional association
- Be able to deliver care to people living in Nova Scotia
- Utilize a client-centered, recovery-oriented approach
- Understanding of weight bias and HAES
- Able to work independently and as a team and provide detailed and accurate reports
- Maintain timely clinical records in accordance with PHIA, PIIDPA, FOIPOP and your relevant
- registering Board’s code of ethics
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Are curious, solutions-focused, and shudder when they hear the expression “Because we’ve

- Compassionate, creative, and innovative
- Possess strong leadership skills; experience in a supervisory role is an asset
- Carry professional liability insurance
