Are you a nurse in your country? A certified PAB? Non-certified but have years of experience caring for others? Home Care Assistance is looking for caregivers who can commit to a steady schedule where you can develop an amazing bond with our Italian clients in Ville-Émard.

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate directly with our care management team at the head office.
- Providing basic care relating to clients’ ADLs and IADL’s
- Grocery shopping and running errands
- Cooking (meal and snack preparation)
- Light housekeeping (dishes, changing the bed, laundry)
- Past experience as a caregiver is a plus
- A passion for the job and helping others
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- References from past employers, colleagues and acquaintances
- Italian, English
- PAB Diploma (an asset)
- PDSB and CPR (an asset)

Home Care, also known as domiciliary care, in-home care or social care, is when a senior is visited by a personal caregiver in their home. Nine out of ten elderly would rather remain in the home. But when frailty, forgetfulness or chronic illness makes living alone too difficult, home care allows them to maintain their quality of life and lifestyle.

With home care, a personal caregiver visits the senior for a period of at least four hours at a time—up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, depending on the level of care needed.

In-home caregivers provide help with a wide variety of non-medical related activities of daily living. These include: showering, bathing and dressing, meal preparation, transportation, using the toilet, companionship, recreation, medication reminders, fall prevention and more.

**Exigences de l'emploi**:

- Possibilité de communiquer directement avec notre équipe de gestion des soins au siège.
- Fournir des soins de base relatifs aux AVQ des clients et aux IADL
- Épicerie et courses
- Cuisine (préparation de repas et de collations)
- L'entretien ménager léger (vaisselle, changement de lit, linge)
- Une expérience passée en tant que soignant est un plus
- Une passion pour le travail et aider les autres
- Accès à des moyens de transport fiables
- Possibilité de passer une vérification des antécédents
- Références de précédents employeurs, collègues et connaissances
- Italien, anglais
- Diplôme PAB (un atout)
- PDSB et RCR (un atout)

**Description de l'entreprise**:
Soins à domicile désignent une personne âgée visitée par un aide familial à domicile. Neuf personnes âgées sur dix préfèrent rester à la maison. Mais lorsque la fragilité, l'oubli ou la maladie chronique rendent la vie en solitaire trop difficile, les soins à domicile leur permettent de maintenir leur qualité de vie et leur mode de vie. Dans le cas des soins à domicile, un aide familial visite la personne âgée au moins quatre heures à la fois, soit 24 heures par jour, sept jours par semaine, selon le niveau de soins requis. Les aidants naturels à domicile fournissent de l'aide pour une grande variété d'activités de la vie quotidienne non liées à la médecine. Ceux-ci comprennent: la douche, le bain et l’habillage, la préparation des repas, le transport, l’utilisation des toilettes, la camaraderie, les loisirs, les rappels de médicaments, la prévention des chutes, etc.
