North of Woof (Woof's Country Boarding Facility in Schomberg) is currently seeking a part time dog boarding attendant to join the team at their 50 acre boarding farm and facility.

We are a small home style boarding facility that offers daily outdoor and indoor play space and daily hikes on our 50 acres. We host our boarding in our coach house. This job is all about making our dogs tired, happy and comfortable. We are home style boarding (no kennels) so the space is set up to feel comfortable and as close to an open concept house as we could manage.

Staff will be responsible to running around with the dogs in our yard/fenced area, taking them for hikes (morning shifts & afternoon shifts), oversee feedings, washroom breaks and snuggling up on the sofa with them to help them settle in for the night.

**General Shift Breakdown**:
**Morning Shifts**:

- **Breakfast Feedings**:Oversee breakfast time feedings, bathroom breaks
- **Outside Yard Playtime**:Oversee dinnertime feedings & end of night washroom time to ensure every dog has had an opportunity to have a bathroom break
- **Tidying & Farm Day Prep**: Preparing Pick Up & Drop Off Bins, assisting with owner drop offs
- **Assisting with Farm Day Camp **(Monday through Friday): Hiking, more outdoor playtime and some down time (including for our staff)
- **Lunch Time Feedings**:For our dogs on a lunch schedule.
- Afternoon Prep: Preparing for afternoon staff switch over, ensuring all dog notes are updated, client photos are posted, treats and gear is stocked and tidied etc

**Afternoon Shifts**:

- **Afternoon Hike**:Assist with last hike of the day for boarding & farm day camp dogs
- **Dinner Feedings & Bathroom Breaks**:Oversee dinnertime feedings & end of night washroom time to ensure every dog has had an opportunity to have a bathroom break
- **Side Duties & Tidying**:Cleaning up at end of day and ensuring weekly side duty is completed
- **Preparing Space for Sleeping**: Prepping dog beds,
- **Dog Note Updates & Next Day Coming and Going**:Inputting dog notes to ensure that any information needed for next day or clients is put in dogs boarding history. Updating any dog arrivals or pick ups for next day
- **Assisting with Client Pick Ups**:Preparing and overseeing dogs for pick up that afternoon. Ensuring clients are informed of how their dog did etc.
- **Relaxing with tired dogs**:Taking some downtime with the dogs to help them settle

**Hours & Shifts**: Morning Shifts: 7am to 3pm || Afternoon Shifts: 2pm to 10pm** || Overnight 10pm to 7am** (Staff are provided with bedding and personal set up to sleep)

**Staff often merge the Afternoon & Overnight shifts together to get a double shift with paid sleep time.
- Must be available on Weekends and Holidays (we try and make it fair and rotate staff)_

**Have a dog**?: If you have a dog who is dog friendly and spay/neutered (over 6 months) and up to date on vaccines you are welcome to bring them with you to work as long as they do not interfere with your ability to work your shift.

**Training**: Staff are given on the job (paid) dog behavior and handling training for approximately 2 weeks (depending on experience and natural skill level) in addition to systems training.
