**Service & Warehouse Technician (Delta, B.C.)**

A leader in environmentally conscious water management solutions in Western Canada with offices in B.C. and Alberta has need for a hard-working warehouse and service employee to clean, test, repair our equipment, like hoses, sand filters, water pumps, valves, etc. Requires working outdoors in our service yard in all kinds of weather, as well as working indoors. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, unload load trucks, inspect, repair our equipment of pumps, hoses, fittings, and work as a team with our small warehouse team, pitching in to whatever is needed that day. Class 5 driving license is very helpful.

Stormtec is a specialty water management company that makes the lives of their customers easier by taking on their water management challenges. When we do it right, no one notices us doing our work - not our customers, not the communities we work in, not the fish in the local streams. Except that our customers realize we don’t have the ongoing headache of water management. We provide water management solutions for sediment control, contaminated water treatment, dewatering and bypass solutions in the construction industry.

We’ve doubled in size over the last three years and expects to double again in the next five years. We have a young, progressive team of 60 staff, led by an ambitious President & CEO who is leading the company through unprecedented but sustainable growth.

**People who succeed at this job**:

- Clean, test, repair our equipment, like hoses, sand filters, water pumps, valves, etc. Mechanically inclined.
- Requires working outdoors in our service yard in all kinds of weather, as well as working indoors.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, unload load trucks, inspect, repair our equipment of pumps, hoses, fittings, and work as a team with our small warehouse team, pitching in to whatever is needed that day.
- Class 5 driving license is very helpful.
- Inspect and troubleshoot our sand filters (mechanical skills are helpful)
- Drive forklift safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an accurate count of all incoming and outgoing equipment, hoses, chemicals and fittings.
- Keep the warehouse safe and organized by placing equipment in designated areas, sweeping and cleaning up.
- Drive into town for local pick ups of equipment and gear as required.

**Skills and Related Experience**
- 1-2 years of service shop or warehouse experience.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs,
- can work outdoors in our service yard in all kinds of weather as well as indoors.
- strong work ethic and initiative
- Good verbal English proficiency
- Mechanically inclined, can troubleshoot and fix equipment.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and good driving history.

**OTHER STUFF**

There’s no doubt that you’ll face some challenges; but you will be up for it because of your honesty, reliability and strong work ethic. We have a career ladder for warehouse techs, based on competency and knowledge of equipment maintenance. Warehouse techs may also have specialty skills such as welding, electrical, knowledge of pumps that we use, etc. Acquire more skills and proficiency and you can position yourself for career progression as other warehouse tech roles become available.

The workweek is Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

An offer of employment is dependent on successfully passing background checks: reference checks with direct managers, criminal record check, drug and alcohol testing, including THC, and a good driving record. Canadian work authorization is required.
