We’re recruiting for summer students to help our province achieve big things We are currently seeking three (3) Land Survey Resource Workers. The positions are located in Lunenburg, Tusket, and Lawrencetown.

**About Our Opportunity**:

**Primary Accountabilities**:
As a Land Survey Resource Worker with the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, you will assist us with our ongoing program to coordinate existing Crown survey corners. You will be responsible for searching title to land being investigated, interpreting occupation and ownership evidence on aerial photography, satellite imagery and existing Crown Land Grant mapping.

You will be required to work in the field the majority of the time looking for field evidence and collecting coordinates using RTK GPS. You will provide timely, efficient and accurate information and support to existing staff on a variety of natural resource matters. Some independent surveying field work and office work may be required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
This may be the right opportunity for you if you are a full-time university or college student in the field of Surveying or Geomatics, who is returning to study in the fall (or in the next applicable semester for the education program). Proof of returning to studies may be required.

The following are considered assets:

- Map reading;
- Aerial photography interpretation;
- Woods travel;
- Compass use;
- Survey Grade and Recreational.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

**Working Conditions**:
**Survey sites are often remote and results in long vehicle rides from the office and long walks in the woods before arriving on site.**

**Salary Range**:_ _$17.34 - $28.26 Bi-Weekly
