J Dhhot Transportation Ltd. is looking for an experienced Dispatcher with a strong work ethic. This position will require an individual who can be enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, a team-player and able to work in a fast-paced environment with mínimal instruction.
- Must be able to schedule/secure loads as well as possess the ability to think pro-actively and adapt in order to avoid difficult situations.
- Assess and Plan deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
- Dispatch/Plan/Bill Loads using the company dispatch program.
- Must understand all aspects of the company and maintain working relationships with clients and staff members.
- Responsible for overseeing dispatch operations by ensuring that vehicles and equipment meet safety standards as well as driver safety.
- Completing various tasks such as data entry, filing, receiving phone calls, forwarding calls to the appropriate department, booking appointments, requesting permits/insurance.
- Communicating/providing assistance to other departments as needed by management.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Fluency in English (Written & Verbal)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Experience with customer service: 1+ years
- Experience with over the phone communication: 1+ years
- Ability to handle stressful situations is key

**Educational Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Some Post-Secondary Education Preferred)

**Dispatch Requirements**:

- Must have at least 1 year experience as a truck dispatcher
- Prior experience in an operations centre or logistics environment dealing with local delivery is an asset.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Knowledge of Tractors/Trailers
- Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and prioritize in high stress situations
