**Position**:
We are looking for a senior** Controller** to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, you have a passion for driving financial performance and growth in a dynamic and growing company.

- Able to work effectively and communicate with senior-level business partners.
- Detail oriented and analytical by nature.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
- 5+ years of experience in senior finance roles, with a track record of success in driving financial performance and growth.
- Advanced usage of accounting software and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- High level understanding of full-cycle accounting practices.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience with the preparation of company tax filings, payments, and returns.
- Prior experience working for a seasonal company with over 100 employees.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

**You will**:

- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee the company's financial reporting, accounting, and tax functions.
- Recommend tax strategies and align with business objectives.
- Manage the company's financial risk management strategies.
- Identify and address financial issues and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and key financial stakeholders, including investors, lenders, tax advisors, banks, and auditors.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to the CEO and Management to support decision making.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of our financial systems and procedures to identify and resolve any issues.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and present recommendations to the CEO and Management team.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and provide financial guidance to department heads.
- Ensure that internal controls and effective and efficient and develop solutions where gaps are identified.
- Mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals.
- Travel when required.

**Compensation**:

$105,000 annually with the opportunity for an increase after one year of service based on individual and organizational performance.
