Reporting to the Category Manager, the Category Assistant is part of a key support team for sales, purchasing, and revenue management. They are responsible for the product development process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development of product ranges and brands including product innovation.
- Manage the process of creating private label and national brand products.
- Develop, analyze and synthesize data: sales, new products, categories.
- Conduct market studies based on product category development priorities.
- Perform competitive analysis and perform other related tasks as needed.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with purchasing, sales, production, and suppliers.

**Desired Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the packaged consumer goods (CPG) industry.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Assets: Knowledge of SAP software and the food industry.

**Working Conditions**:

- Permanent, full-time, 44 hours per week, 8 hours Monday to Friday, day shift.
- Flexible hours to be defined with your manager; 2 days of remote work.
