Receptionist / Medical Assistant

Our conveniently located clinics are open for extended hours to look after the needs of our patients and our communities. With a team of skilled individuals working alongside with over 70 family physicians, specialists, and allied health providers, our goal is to get our patients healthy, quickly and safely.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for a **Receptionist/Medical Assistant **who has the passion to deliver the best possible care to our patients.
**Summary**: The **Receptionist/Medical Assistant** will assist physicians and allied health partners to ensure efficient patient flow and care process. **This is a permanent full-time (4-5 days a week).**
**Location**: 456 Holland St W #2, Bradford, ON L3Z 0G1
Please note training will take place at the AY clinic (14872 Yonge St, Aurora, ON L4G 1N2).
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for providing administrative support to the entire clinic, including but not limited to: registering patients, answering phone, booking appointments, following up on consults and test results and other administrative duties
- Provides administrative assistance to doctors and allied health providers
- Assists patients with registrations forms and any other required paperwork
- Responsible for referrals to specialists, diagnostic bookings and other test centres
- Reviews and updates patients demographics and obtains necessary information as required
- Processes payments from patients for non-OHIP services
- Assists with third party forms and letters
**Requirements**:
- Medical Office Administration certificate/diploma is considered an asset
- Previous 1- 3 years of medical office experience is considered an asset
- Administrative or customer service experience, including in a non-medical field is considered an asset
- Knowledge of EMR and strong computer proficiency is an asset
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills
