**Full-time Chambers Lawyer - Foreclosure and Collections (Technology Background Preferred)**

**Salary $80,000 - 120,000 depending on experience plus extended benefits, continuing education, and free parking.**

Steps away from transit and shops, our close-knit team specializes in all aspects of debt collection and foreclosures. You will also be highly competent in the Management of Assignments, managing your own case load as well as working closely in support of assignment work of legal assistants and agent law firms to ensure overall targets of the department are met. In the future you have an interest in, and an aptitude for, developing team proficiencies and have a conviction that our type of law is best practiced in an iterative way to achieve efficiency and constraint targets.

Regular attendance at Master‘s and Judge’s Supreme Court Chambers is required.

For more than 35 years Richards & Richards have focused on the collection of consumer debt and receivables management. We work for original lenders, debt buyers, forwarders, private investors, financial institutions, credit card companies and mortgage investment companies. We are referred foreclosure and enforcement work by other lawyers and collection professionals. We have lawyers, realtors, process servers, and property managers in every part of British Columbia. We are looking for a lawyer who prefers process and technology over traditional legal service models. You will find a place to innovate here - perhaps disruptively so.
- **Essential Job Duties**_
- Carrying out written and telephone communications with clients
- Providing daily reception duties including phone coverage and greeting clients
- Preparing reporting letters
- Assisting with client billings, invoicing and follow up notifications
- Handling associated filing and administrative tasks

**Skills, Abilities & Knowledge**
- Legal Assistant certification from a recognized institution
- One year of experience in a BC law office
- One to two years of reception or office support experience
- Excellent word processing skills (MS Word).
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, with strong planning skills.

We believe that continuing legal education and membership in associations is important, the firm will pay for your firm related education expenses and membership dues on a pre-approved basis. Vacation will accrue at 2 weeks per year. Background (credit check) and criminal records checks are required prior to the beginning of employment.
