Job Description

Specialists maintain a fee-for-service, independent practice within Regina. Call coverage is shared with a very patient-centered and cooperative call group within the specialty and an on-call premium is provided for on-call availability.

Gynecological & Obstetrical services are based at the Regina General Hospital. The main operating room theatres have recently undergone a renovation to enhance mínimally invasive surgery. The Women's Health Centre boasts a highly efficient ambulatory hysteroscopy clinic. Surgical procedure time in these two areas is shared among department members. There are approximately 9,000 new gynecology consults per year in Regina Area and 4,000 deliveries each year. Specialists are supported by a complete range of surgical sub-specialists, medical specialists, and neonatologists. In these superb facilities the Regina Area will continue to provide women with the complete continuum of care.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. A teaching appointment with the College of Medicine will be available to the qualified applicant.

Job Qualifications

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

A start date for this position of July 1, 2024, is preferred but negotiable.
