**Your Opportunity**:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Lead Patrol Team shifts, supporting various parks as required
- Support visitor safety and accident reduction through positive interactions with visitors
- Responsible for ensuring the ongoing safety of visitors and staff by checking trails and surrounding areas for hazards or poor surface conditions
- Recognize risk and maintain signage to minimize trail hazards; coordinate with teams when required
- Be prepared for any type of incidents that may occur and follow up with documentation.
- Inspect all medical equipment, medical bags, and ATVs prior to start of shift
- Respond to incidents and provide First Aid and other support where required.
- Ensure all documentation is completed, reviewed, and submitted accurately in a timely manner
- Assist in risk management/accident investigations as required
- Offer support to other department services as required
- Work in a team environment and be prepared for any situation that may arise
- Safely operate ATV or vehicle in a variety of conditions (training provided)
- Support Beach Regulations and Policies.
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals such as Covid-19 PPE protocols.
- Other duties as assigned

**Your Qualifications**
- Availability:

- 15 hours (minimum) each pay period (every 2 weeks)
- Must attend pre-season training
- 1 - 2 year’s work experience with Conservation Halton Patrol is considered an asset
- Previous leadership experience is considered an asset
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written documentation skills are essential
- Ability to enforce policies and procedures in a professional manner
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G2”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required
