**DaNico Restaurant is currently seeking for passionate and experienced hosts to join our team for the upcoming opening.**

Hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group has partnered with world renowned Michelin Star Chef Daniele Corona to open the first DaNico restaurant location in downtown Toronto. Our mission is to deliver excellent Italian inspired food and impeccable hospitality, creating a unique experience for our guests. Through our culture of developing people talent, we are committed to the continuous learning and growth for our team.

**What we are looking for**:
Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Excellent communication skills
- Available to work on weekends and evenings
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Working knowledge of **Open Table**

As first point of contact for our guests when entering the venue, your main duty is to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon their arrival. You will need to multitask with charm and confidence without making the guests feeling rushed or not a priority. Furthermore, hosts are also the integral bridge between the guest and floor staff.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Confirm reservations for the upcoming days
- Take reservations according to the system settings and guests requests
- Keep a tight, clean and organized host station
- Keep coat check organized at all times
- Make sure the menus are charged and always in good conditions before service
- Assign tables and sections to servers making sure to maintain a proper flow
- Keep the floor plan updated throughout the service
- Ensure that we are taking a proactive approach in managing incoming reservations communicating any delay or issue to management
- Welcome guests upon arrival and walk them to their assigned table
- Communicate with servers in regards to celebrations, allergies, and notes on reservations
- Always display a calm, smooth and professional attitude in both busy and slow times
- Properly close the host station at the end of service

Compensation: hourly + tips

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.55 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5T 1T3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Restaurant: 3 years (preferred)
