CBN prints currency, passports and other secure documents for Canada and countries around the world. As an Automated Inspection Technician in our Vision Systems team, you will be on the quality front lines and operate state-of-the-art vision systems that inspect, and by extension, protect these critical products. **What will you do?**

We use automated vision systems to inspect our products and make sure that everything that we produce meets the very precise standards we need them to.

In this role, you will:

- ** Know the products**: we deal with a range of complex security documents, each of which have different specifications and quality requirements. You’ll get to know more about bank notes, passports and driving licenses than you ever thought you would With that information, you will be a brain trust of our quality requirements and will use that knowledge to calibrate and modify the vision system software models that analyze the quality of the different product lines.
- ** Be the Quality gatekeeper**: quality is our mission - it underpins everything we do. With an ‘eagle-like’ attention to detail and strong sense of judgement, you’ll be a vital part of the quality team to spot any issues. You won’t be afraid to ask questions and escalate where you need to resolve quality calls. Our Product Managers, Quality Engineers, and other Vision Systems team members will work with you to address any questions.
- ** Keep everything humming along**: Maintain daily logs of all work, complete shift reports, inspection forms, system change records, operation reports and checklists and ensure that all changes are communicated to the vision team and internal stakeholders. These details keep our quality operations running along nicely

**What will help you succeed?**
- Beneficial Knowledge/Experience_
- Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel and Word);
- Previous experience in a quality control is an asset, but not required;
- Previous experience in the print industry is an asset, but not required.
- Soft Skills_
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- An eye for detail and passion for quality:

- Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities;
- Strong time management skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal skills;
**Mandatory Requirements**
- Eligibility for Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance;
- Visual colour perception and acuity;
- Ability to work all shifts (day, evening, night);
- Ability to come in outside of regular shift hours as required
