We are looking for a highly motivated and result oriented Bilingual Underwriter to join our Canadian Life and Health Underwriting team. You will be responsible for underwriting Canadian French, English and Caribbean Life and Health business as well as Marketing (working with clients and cross-functional teams).

**About the Role**:

- Providing accurate and competitive facultative life risk selection while meeting or exceeding time service standards. Participation in external and internal audit programs.
- Maintaining a strong market presence through client relationship management in the areas audit, education and industry participation.
- Maintaining knowledge of changes in both industry initiatives (legislative, taxation, product development, technology, etc.) and principles of risk selection (medical, non-medical, etc.).
- Serving on internal committees relating to risk selection and other committees designed to enhance Swiss Re's organizational goals.

The Canadian Life & Health Underwriting team is a cohesive group of dedicated professionals who strive to exceed our client's expectations. We work together to bring new ideas, and to find efficient solutions to meet our client's needs. This role will be reporting to the Underwriting Manager, and you will be working closely with the greater underwriting team located across the country.

**About You**:
You should have a minimum 7-10 years underwriting experience with direct companies and/or reinsurers. You must possess strong decision making and problem-solving capabilities as well as excellent time management skills including the ability to work independently and cohesively with the rest of the underwriting team and Swiss Re departments.
- French language fluency is essential with solid oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
- Competency in Large case and High Net Worth business is an asset.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with staff, clients and other divisions (administration, claims, group, etc.) to allow efficient underwriting departmental operation.
- Be willing to participate in projects and other team initiatives including our annual client seminar.
- Are competent with the use of social media and blogging.
- Willing to travel as required for internal meetings, industry conferences and client meetings to promote and enhance Swiss Re / client relationships.

**Tarificateur/Tarificatrice (Télétravailleur)**

Nous recherchons un tarificateur/une tarificatrice hautement motivé(e) et axé(e) sur les résultats pour se joindre à notre équipe canadienne de tarification vie et santé. Vous serez responsable de la tarification d’assurance vie et santé au Canada et dans les Caraïbes, ainsi que du marketing - en collaboration avec nos gestionnaires de clients et nos équipes multidisciplinaires.

**À propos du rôle**:

- Assurer une sélection précise et compétitive des risques facultatifs tout en respectant ou dépassant les normes de service. Participer aux programmes d’audit externe et interne de concert avec les efforts de l'auditeur principal.
- Maintenir une forte présence sur le marché grâce à la gestion de la relation client dans les domaines de l'audit, de la formation et de participation aux évènements de l'industrie.
- Maintenir la connaissance des modifications apportées aux initiatives du secteur (législation, fiscalité, développement de produits, technologie, etc.) et aux principes de sélection des risques (médicaux, non médicaux, etc.).
- Siéger sur des comités internes de sélection des risques et sur d'autres comités destinés à renforcer les objectifs organisationnels de Swiss Re (Magnum, Life Guide, autres solutions de tarification).

Ce rôle relèvera du responsable des tarificateurs et vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe. Notre équipe de tarificateurs et dirigeants travaillent de partout au Canada.

**Au propos de vous**:
Vous devez avoir au moins 7 à 10 ans d’expérience en tarification directe et / ou en réassurance. Vous possédez de solides capacités de prise de décision et de résolution de problèmes. Vous avez des excellentes compétences en matière de gestion du temps, avec la capacité de travailler de manière indépendante et cohérente avec le reste de l'équipe de tarification et d'autres départements de Swiss Re.
- La maîtrise de la langue française est essentielle avec compétence en communication orale et écrite en anglais et français.
