The telecommunications market is undergoing a transformation and Cogeco is forging ahead with our plan to enter the Canadian mobile services market. We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help develop our wireless roadmap and join a team made of creative innovators and visionaries in start-up mode

The Business Systems Analyst is the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team during the whole development life cycle from concept to roll-out. The Business Systems Analyst will work in close partnership with business and technology stakeholders, as well as aligns to project management, strategy and governance.

The Business Systems Analyst will assist Business Partners and the Architects in defining requirements for standalone exercises such as solution evaluation and will provide a critical role in the evaluation and decomposition of business requests into the product backlogs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Elicit and create requirements documentation (business and non-functional) including success metrics (KPIs)
- Map, document, and validate desired end-state processes, recommending optimization wherever possible
- Work closely with the technical team to ensure business, information and data layers are appropriately analyzed and documented in step with evolution of the business model and technology environments
- Work with stakeholders to develop scope and definition of business cases
- Proactively identify, communicate, and track requirement risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints on assignments
- Develop RFI / RFP / RFQ criteria, organizing scope of need (traced to business case), facilitate market scans for solution providers, create and continuously refine evaluation criteria
- Define and maintain the business domain documentation - business capability models, including CMMI evaluation against industry standards (TM Forum)
- Work with teams to identify change management considerations associated to transformation as a result of larger scale implementations

Academic and Experience:

- Bachelor degree or College Diploma in Information Technology, or a combination of education and work experience.
- Business Analysis certificate from university or recognized institution (PMBOK, BABOK)
- 3+ years relevant business analysis experience.
- Experience with CRM, commerce and financial systems (billing, accounting)
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Proficiency in using analytical software tools, process modeling, data analysis methods and reporting techniques, and Atlassian (Confluence, Jira, and its installed add-ons).
- Demonstrated Agile skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
- Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem with 3rd party integrations is an asset.

Specific Competencies:

- UML modeling proficiency - Use Case, Activity, ERD / Class, State & Sequence
- Strong business process modeling skills (BPMN) including ability to trace to technical sequencing below the line with respect to information flow
- Ability to manage multiple project deliverables concurrently
- Ability to continuously enforce frameworks and principles in scoping, definition and evaluation efforts
- Business Case modeling
- Understands a Customer-centric approach to design and functionality
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.
- Ability to be proactive, multitask, manage time effectively, adapt to change and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create positive working relationships.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
- Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.The position requires working closely with external and internal resources across North America.
