Within the context of the Internal Audit Division Charter and under the direction of the Environmental Audit Coordinator, you are
responsible for a variety of assigned tasks related to assurance and consulting engagements. These engagements assess the
extent to which Manitoba Hydro's environmental management system (EMS) is designed and implemented to effectively support the
achievement of intended results, and its compliance with environmental legal and regulatory requirements.

**This position requires travel by air, and you will be required to confirm that you are able to meet Transport Canada's**
**requirements for air travel, as they may be amended from time to time.**

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of an ISO 14001 EMS Audit Program and an Environmental

Compliance Site Visit Audit Program.
- Plan, develop, and execute detailed audit programs to evaluate Manitoba Hydro's EMS, environmental controls, and

environmental compliance in accordance with the Internal Audit Manual and other applicable professional auditing standards.
- Recommend strategies for improving environmental performance and reducing environmental risks to Manitoba Hydro.
- Communicate and interact with all audit stakeholders to foster strong working relationships, meet engagement requirements,
- resolve audit issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.- Provide oral and written reports and presentations to all levels of management
- Keep abreast of new and proposed changes to environmental compliance obligations (internal and external), ISO 14001 and
- ISO 19011.- Perform administrative duties delegated by the Environmental Audit Coordinator.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four-year degree from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline combined with a minimum of five years'

experience of which a substantial portion obtained in an Internal Audit environment.
OR
- A professional Designation from an institute of recognized standing in an applicable discipline combined with a minimum of

four years' experience of which a substantial portion obtained in an Internal Audit environment.
Or
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation combined with a minimum of two years' experience of which a

substantial portion obtained in an Internal Audit environment.
- Relevant post-secondary education such as a master's degree in a related field, or Environmental Management System Lead

Auditor Certification from an accredited organization would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of environmental management frameworks and standards, and municipal, provincial, and federal

environmental legislation.

- Knowledge of environmental impacts and risks associated with the utility industry.
- Working knowledge and/or experience with using data analytics and data visualization tools would be a definite asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments in a deadline driven environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information, respect and adhere to all professional standards and codes of conduct/ethics.
- Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence.
- Required to travel by all modes of transportation i.e., air, land and water.

**Salary Range**
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $42.28-$58.34 Hourly,
$81,019.90-$111,796.10 Annually.
