As the Manager of Enterprise Analytics & Data Governance, you will play a vital role in driving the success of LCBO’s strategic initiatives and shaping the enterprise data strategy and governance structures. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Business Intelligence, you will be a driving force behind our data-centric strategic vision, ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy and governance. You will take charge of leading enterprise-wide analyses that bolster strategy formulation and informed decision-making. Your mission will be to promote the creation and execution of a comprehensive Enterprise Data Strategy, while also embedding data governance best practices across the organization. You will also be an agent of transformation, instilling a data governance culture and enhancing data quality within the LCBO, as we navigate a significant digital transformation.

About the Role
- Use a data-driven approach to problem solving and to inform recommendations. Provide technical and analytical support for high-value and high-priority projects and aid development efforts to implement ideas.
- Use enterprise data to promote beneficial strategic decision-making outcomes related to the development of an optimized B2B and B2C business approach as a result of the ongoing and evolving alcohol beverage marketplace.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework with the Data Governance Office to ensure data accuracy, legality, and usability.
- Contribute to the development of Enterprise Data Strategy, creating important resources such as an enterprise business glossary, data dictionary, and documenting data workflows. You will also manage the collection and upkeep of business rules governing data and enterprise KPIs.
- Establish and enforce data governance procedures to manage enterprise data assets.
- Lead analysis and mining of large data sets to obtain applicable insights using prescriptive, descriptive, predictive, exploratory, and inferential analysis.
- Help develop the LCBO's BI capability, including enhancement of BI tools, methods & knowledge alongside other Analytics groups in the organization.
About You
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business or Engineering.
- 3-5 years leading teams performing advanced modelling and analysis at a major retailer or consumer-facing business such as CPG, customer insights or loyalty.
- 3+ years relevant experience in Strategy, Governance, Change Management roles.
- Can draw measurable insights from complex and disparate sets of data quickly, using analytical techniques and tools.
- A strong grasp of data governance principles, data quality management, data privacy, and regulatory compliance is essential.
- Direct experience with Data Governance concepts and implementing data governance best practices.
- Follow defined change management processes to ensure priorities are met and changes are implemented in a controlled fashion.
- Familiarity with Big Data tools and concepts.
- Proficient at building teams through coaching and mentorship
- Collaborative team player with strong ability to advise, and guide others across all levels of an organization.
