Gas Bar Attendant

Reporting to the C-Store Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient work operation while adhering to policies, procedures, and standards. This position is based in Boyle Alberta and is part of the C-Store division.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide information, assistance and excellent customer service to customers
- Perform cashiering duties, order placement, receiving, stocking and facing of product
- Servicing vehicles, filling propane bottles, operating the point of sales terminal
- Assist with opening and closing duties including general housekeeping
- Promptly and efficiently handling customer interactions including carry-outs and providing direction
- Be informed on promotions, bulletins, memos and updates as applicable
- Handle merchandise, air hose, window washing station, propane dispenser, propane tank, and cardlock pump readings
- Ensure a safe work environment including organization, cleaning, tidying
- Follow relevant legislation for controlled substances
- Practice strong environmental social governance by working closely with team members and acting according to standards
- Live and promote the Co-op brand and values at all times
- Adhere to North Corridor policies and procedures
- Promote a positive and professional approach and attitude to work
- Complete other reasonable duties outside of job description as requested
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service is preferred
- Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently and in team environments
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
Working Conditions:
This position has multiple shifts and applicants must be willing to work early mornings and/or later evenings. This position is hourly and includes weekend and holiday work. Employees will receive holiday pay as per applicable legislation.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-32 per week
**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
