Gas Bar Manager

What you'll do:

• Engage and interact with memberowners and customers to provide outstanding Coop experiences.
• Model the way of demonstrating daytoday behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Cooperative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
• Be responsible for communication, planning, organizing, implementation, and execution of business operations for the Gas Bar.
• Be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the entire Gas Bar Team Members in all areas of People, Financial, Market Growth, Sustainability, Operational Excellence & Safety.
• Adhere to established standards including safe food handling & sanitation, Gas Bar regulations, merchandising, health & safety, and loss prevention.
• Communicate and consult with the Associate Director of Support and Partnership about daily operations, budget plans, sales, targets and other tasks.
• Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practises to maintain high levels of accuracy and mínimal losses.
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations.
• Be motivated to growing the business and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
• Lead the annual planning, goal setting, budgeting, and corporate talent management processes for the Gas Bar.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal & external customers and team members, while ensuring that the administrative requirements of the role are maintained on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure employee development and succession planning is a high priority.
• Lead a culture of safety through coaching, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Who you are as a leader:

• Certifications/ Qualifications: You have a business degree, certificate, CRS Manager training or equivalent management experience. 3-5 years of retail management experience preferred.
• You have knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management.
• Retail experience in a competitive and complex environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of the local business environment would be an asset.
• You demonstrate initiative and drive for results.
• Skills in the areas of: Planning and executing production as well as implementing continuous improvement / changes to procedures / processes.
• Ability to handle multiple demands adaptable, organized, efficient and committed.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Computer skills are required
• Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including Monday-Sunday, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
