**What your day and week could look like**

Reporting to the Vice President of IT, an Information Security Analyst plays an essential role in supporting all aspects of our operations. To Collaborate with divisional leads to identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions to achieve them as it relates to infrastructure and information security.

This includes:

- Develop and execute comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's infrastructure, networks, and systems from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on the infrastructure to identify potential weaknesses and devise strategies for mitigation.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement robust security measures for servers, databases, firewalls, routers, switches, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Monitor and analyze security logs, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security tools to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
- Participate in the design and implementation of secure network architecture, ensuring that security best practices are integrated at every stage.
- Recommend and implement improvements to security controls, authentication mechanisms, and access management protocols to enhance overall infrastructure security.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threat intelligence, and propose innovative solutions to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle and infrastructure deployment processes.
- Provide expertise and guidance to internal teams on security best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.
- Respond to Tier2/3 helpdesk incidents as appropriate.
- Support advanced network infrastructure, software and routing requirements.

**What you bring**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) working as a Cyber Security Engineer with a focus on infrastructure security in a corporate environment.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other infrastructure security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and vulnerability assessment scanners.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.
- Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and experience securing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid experience in incident response, security monitoring, and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve security issues effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or other industry-recognized certifications would be a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willing availability for after hours on-call rotation, some weekend work, and contributing to a team providing 24x7 support
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Install and operate security measures to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.

**Additional Information**

The role is located Mississauga with occasional work from Downtown Toronto. Some hybrid/remote work possible.
