Reporting and working closely with Paramedic leadership, the Advisor provides specialized support by leading and managing specific program initiatives to ensure that culture, change management and leadership development initiatives are delivered in accordance with the Paramedic Services strategic vision and aligns with Health Services Leadership and Corporate priorities.

The Advisor will plan, lead and advise on the Paramedics Services Culture and DEI initiatives and ensure that associated program initiatives and action plans are delivered in accordance with the programs direction as well as Health Services goals and objectives. As such, the role will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies or plans for integrating program-wide which may include:

- Change Management Strategies
- Leadership Development
- Reviewing change management strategies and tactical plans
- Providing advice on change management approaches to the leadership team
- Providing leadership coaching as it applies to culture shifts, employee engagement and enablement, development and leading through change
- Building program competency and capacity for change related to Culture of Safety

**What you will do in this role**:

- Actively participate in the preparation of business cases to support strategic divisional and departmental plans related to Culture and Leadership Development
- Ensure plans and recommendations are implemented, monitored and evaluated to ensure follow through and objectives are realized
- Performs complex analysis and provides advice, regular reporting and discusses approaches directly with the Chief of Paramedic Services, Managers, Steering Committees, and other stakeholders as appropriate
- Initiates and leads committees consisting of various levels of staff to inform functional improvements
- Plans, consults and conducts functional and business analysis with key stakeholders
- Provides recommendations to ensure services provided by Paramedic Services are client centered value added, effective, and efficient which results in positive community impact
- Anticipates impact and assesses risks that changes may have on clients and provides guidance and recommendations to ensure effective delivery of programs and mínimal disruption to clients
- Collaborates with clients, community partners and key stakeholders in order to ensure that the services provided in the department continue to meet the needs of Peel
- Develops presentation materials and facilitates various sessions to gather information for the initiative
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, tools & technology enhancements and communication practices
- Will take the lead to proactively coordinate leadership development opportunities for current people leaders as well as those who may have an interest in a people leader role in the future

**What the role requires**:

- Masters degree in Health related field or related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in the Health Services sector or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of the legislation that supports Health Services delivery
- Combination of education and experience may be considered

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Extensive knowledge of performance measurement and evaluation, project and portfolio management, change management, quality / process improvement, strategy development and execution and effective leadership
- Research and analytical skills to gather, analyze and synthesize data and develop recommendations as necessary
- Highly developed facilitation skills and ability to lead diverse leadership and project teams through complex planning processes
- Short and long term planning skills and ability to execute various project initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, facilitation and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of community resources/services available to residents of the Region of Peel
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
