We are currently seeking a **Product Development Technician** to join our team.
**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for developing all Gertex items - soft lines and apparel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications, including technical sketches /design, features and materials.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the product development process.
- Making sure product fits and designs align with the design team’s vision as well as the company’s size standards.
- Working closely with overseas vendors to improve or change an item.
- Tracking samples to ensure all items are received in a timely manner.
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- 1-2 years in a similar role
- Expert in illustrator
- Technical knowledge of knitwear, experience working with apparel and accessories (hats, mitts, scarfs, socks, etc.) is an asset.
- Experience with development QC—being able to problem solve with overseas vendors
- Excellent communication skills
**FULL TIME: In-office, Monday-Friday; 9:00 -5:30 pm; working remotely is NOT possible**
