**Profile**

The Controller role presents an exciting opportunity where your responsibilities will include maintaining precise financial records, overseeing tax compliance, spearheading budgetary initiatives, and ensuring adherence to budgets across our organization.

Razor Management Inc builds, owns and operates sports facilities around the province of Ontario. Stadium Sport Leagues programs many of these facilities with in house youth and adult programs. Currently there are 11 facilities and we are actively looking to grow.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead/oversee to ensure the accuracy of all accounting records for RMI and RMI owned entities, entailing both day to day transactional/administrative activities as well as managerial/strategic tasks
- Manage tax compliance procedures including submission of tax reporting and tax related administrative duties
- Spearhead budgeting efforts and ensuring adherence to budgets across our various entities
- Ensure financial reporting accuracy, compliance, and stewardship including monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and forecasting
- Supervise departmental resources to improve financial and accounting processes
- Drive positive change in non-accounting processes impacting financial reporting
- Manage customer credit and cash flow effectively and timely
- Mitigate and prevent risks associated with day to day finances as well as overall fiscal responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards

**Accountabilities**
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Facilitate timely and precise month-end closes
- Implement industry best practices related to accounting, reporting, compliance
- Drive budgetary compliance and analyze/reconcile actual-to-budget performance
- Some initial bookkeeping may be required

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 6 years of accounting expertise
- Proficiency in establishing and implementing Internal Controls mechanisms
- Experience with business and tax compliance in Canada
- Managing multiple entities/ledgers, intercompany transactions, and financial consolidations
- Proficiency in payroll, accounts payable/receivable, account analysis, and reconciliation
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing scale-up environment

**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Familiarity with payroll systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
- Tech-savviness to quickly adapt to new platforms

- Strong technical expertise (CPA) with acute attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to mentor and develop staff

- Delivering accurate results under tight deadlines

**Your Education**
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification highly desirable; OR
- Equivalent combination of experience and relevant training

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
