**Summary**

We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst. You will work closely with your manager and other team members to build illustrations of unique financial strategies related to life insurance and leverage while outlining the tax implications at both the individual and corporate level. This role will involve both independent and collaborative work.

Your role will include:

- Staying up to date with current insurance product offerings
- Building insurance and financial models
- Understanding the taxation of life insurance (with internal support)
- Understanding personal and corporate tax (with internal support)
- Interpreting and communicating modelled results, risks, concerns, and make recommendations to internal operations and sales teams

**Required Skills or Experience**
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics/statistics/finance/actuarial science or related fields
- One to five (1-5) years of experience building financial or customer facing models, or experience in the insurance industry
- Strong mathematic/statistical skills
- CFA/ASA or other related designations are a plus
- Any additional insurance background is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail

**Salary and Benefits**
- $80,000 - $100,000 base salary, with potential bonus and profit-sharing available based on individual performance
- Extended health benefits plan

**Position Type**

- _Time Commitment:_ 37.5 hours per week, with occasional overtime required
- _Work Location:_ Vancouver, BC
- _Start Date:_ Immediate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
