We are a leading supplier of metal twist caps and capping machinery for the food and beverage industry. Our dynamic team is seeking a Technical Materials Coordinator. Reporting directly to the VP of Quality and Technical Services, you will be at the forefront of the qualification of raw materials. Your role will involve working closely with our customers to deliver on the product requirements.

With your expertise, you'll contribute to the creation of our quality twist closures and be a part of a leading cap manufacturer in North America

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Establishing specifications and assessing all raw materials (Coating, Ink, Compound)
- Reviewing and approving all New Item Requests such as new caps/sheets
- Liaising with Suppliers, Customers, and other Massilly facilities concerning products and raw materials
- Appraising alternate materials for redundancy and cost reduction
- Researching new materials and manufacturing technologies
- Providing technical support to the Production Department
- Conducting on-site supplier audits as required
- Overseeing food contact compliance and industry regulations of raw materials (LONO, FDA, Health Canada)
- This position involves occasional travel within North America and Europe (6-12 trips/year)_

**Skills and Knowledge required**:

- Post-secondary degree in Science/Chemical Engineering or diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering Technology
- 3-5 years experience in a technical role in an industrial setting
