**Job Summary**:Provides administrative support and compliance to the Human Resources Department policies and procedures through effective communication and employee engagement. Maintains and participates in continuous improvement of the HR systems.

**Required Minimum Qualifications**:

- Associates degree in a job-related field or equivalent.
- Three to five years experience related to defined job responsibilities or equivalent training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge of HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

- Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, and businesses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicates with employees, supervisors, and managers to assist in identifying and resolving work issues and concerns through actively participating on the plant floor and other employee engagement exercises.
- Identifies and implements improvements for the HR Department and to ensure compliance while aligning with other department goals providing for continuous improvement.
- Assists with the maintaining of the company's performance management systems; including but not limited to the performance appraisal process, the progressive discipline process and performance improvement plans.
- Processes and/or assists in time and attendance program and payroll duties
- Assists in coordinating the Martinrea Orientation Model Program for all temporary and full time employees. Completes the necessary administration to ensure they are entered into the HR Systems accordingly. Provides information and educates new hires on the Martinrea Benefit program in a group and/or on an individual basis.
- Assists with and maintains communication boards.
- Assists Human Resource Manager with maintaining and updating job descriptions.
- Assists Human Resource Manager with maintaining and updating policies/procedures in the company handbook.
- Assists in employee engagement events overseeing employee committees when applicable.
- Lead and/or assists the Human Resource Department with the management of staffing forecasting, interview and hiring process of direct, indirect, and salary employees.
- Tracking data, building reports as it relates to HR and Payroll, including but not limited to corporate reporting.
- Administrates pay raises, internal transfers and input into the HRIS Systems
- Abides by and insure compliance to all applicable codes and company policies including, but not limited to the following: health and safety, quality and environmental systems, human resource policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook.

**Working Conditions**
- Predominantly in an office setting
- May encounter light to moderate noise levels created by telephones, office machines, and light traffic while in office but higher noise levels when out on production floor approximately 20-30% of workday.

**Effort/Physical Demands**
- Adequate vision acuity
- Frequent long hours/weekends possible

**Health and Safety Responsibilities**
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
