**Energy & Sustainability Business Development Coordinator**

**OVERVIEW**

It’s On Electric Company is a full-service electrical contractor and energy management consulting company that works on a variety of community-based energy savings program province-wide.

These various programs require a creative individual to implement community-based marketing initiatives and strategies to reach participation goals to drive energy savings. While the target customer base is individual households and commercial businesses, this person will need to develop relationships with local community councils/government, and various other community groups and stakeholder to help promote awareness of the different programs to reach the desired customer base.

We are currently looking for a Business Development Coordinator based out of our South Surrey office, however travel to different communities will be required.

**Business Development Coordinator duties and responsibilities**

The Business Development Coordinator will complete a wide range of tasks to ensure program participation and energy saving goals are met by developing and executing different marketing strategies to reach the target customer base. The duties and responsibilities include:

- Conducting research to identify program opportunities.
- Developing new program regions and markets, finding additional opportunities in the target community for energy savings.
- Preparing financial projections and participation targets.
- Planning and implementing marketing, networking, and advertising campaigns to promote the different programs.
- Attending and participating in community events
- Collaborating with our Director of Business Operations and other support teams to meet targets.
- Creating presentations for potential program participants and stakeholders.
- Maintaining a comprehensive database of relevant groups and contacts within each community, ensuring that contacts and communications are logged regularly.
- Assisting Program Administrators with scheduling of projects, dispatch of installers in different regions.
- Travel within British Columbia to various remote communities.
- Creation of monthly marketing and participation report to monitor and track progress.

**Business Development Coordinator skills and qualifications**

The Business Development Coordinator will need strong interpersonal skills, strong organization, marketing expertise and self-motivation. A passion for saving energy is a must Further qualifications include:

- Post-secondary certification/education in business or marketing
- A minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience working or a demonstrated understanding of working in small communities.
- Ability to plan and organize sales presentations, meetings, and marketing strategies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel in particular)

**Salary**:Base Salary plus commission based on participation numbers/goals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
