-- Support the development and design of emergency preparedness outreach programming focused on increasing community resilience.
- Coordinate, schedule and deliver community outreach activities to target groups, including children, youth and other vulnerable populations.
- Conduct research related to emergency preparedness to support program goals and deliverables.
- Manage equipment, supplies and resources in support of disaster preparedness activities and programs.
- May be required to provide support to the Emergency Operations Centre and other operational activities.

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a Diploma or Degree program related to Community Development, Communications, Education, Emergency Management, Social Science, Social Work, or a related field.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits OR a Class 5 Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits, and no current charges or suspension pending is required.
- Success in this position requires the ability to demonstrate initiative for excellence and continuous improvement, build and maintain respectful and inclusive relationships, adapt effectively to working with new and changing work structures and processes and a focus on customer service.

**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

- Position Type: 2 Temporary Students (May - August)
Location: 673 1 Street NE
- Compensation: $27.16 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
-work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
