**Requirements**:

- Canadian Citizen, perm. resident or refugee. International Students are NOT eligible.
- This position is for the Heart Beatz - Halbert Site, -25 Halbert Place. Scarborough ON M1M 0E1.
- Responsibilities include supervising the children, planning, setting up and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children along with supervising teacher.
- Participating in all activities with the children both inside and outside the centre.
- Teamwork and leadership skills required.
- Verbal and written English communication skills.
- Legally entitled to work in Ontario and between the ages of 15-30 years.
- Willing to work with children age 4 yr to 12 yrs of age
- Clear Criminal Reference check. (MUST HAVE - Paid for by the organization.) If you have one that is less that 6 months old, it is acceptable to start working immediately.
- Updated First Aid And CPR Level C (MUST HAVE- Paid for by the organization)

**You will be responsible to**:

- Participate in indoor, outdoor, active and quiet activities. Participate in excursions 2-3 times per week.
- Help teachers in the organizing and cleaning of equipment, and materials in the allotted space.
- Assist teachers in creating and maintaining a healthy and safe environment that is developmentally appropriate and supports the growth and welfare of children.
- Ensure that your supervision of the children is in line with the center’s philosophy in respect to behaviour management, the child’s need for positive experiences and need for a safe environment.
- Help with the cleaning and sanitizing of toys, equipment and other room duties as assigned by the teacher. (This may include setting up snack, prepping materials for planned activities and cleaning and organizing of toys and materials)
- Ensures that his/her work is carried out with the co-operation and agreement of the teachers.
- Represent the program in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of the clientele.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 weeks

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
