Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

**You have**:

- A University degree in computer science, data science, information science, business or other relevant degree, or an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training. Data management or data governance certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in English and French (reading writing and speaking).
- Substantive experience in developing and implementing data and information governance frameworks with clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership & stewardship roles to ensure their accuracy, availability, and authoritative nature.
- Relevant experience data and information classification compliance, and training requirements for staff, to ensure sound information governance as part of IDRC’s transition to a data driven organization.
- Experience in establishing and implementing retention policies to IDRC information and data assets, in accordance with best practices, recommendations and regulations, as appropriate.
- Knowledge of database languages such as SQL to run data queries and understanding of transforming and transferring data between information systems is an asset.
- Experience in business intelligence tools; experience in business analysis; are considered assets.
- Knowledge of data modeling is an asset.

- Someone who enjoys working with diverse teams and forming and managing relationships across the organization to ensure comprehensive information governance and the completeness and quality of corporate data in support of a data-driven culture.
- Passionate about data and information ownership and stewardship, guiding and coaching technical and non-technical personnel, and you stay informed of best practices and innovations in the field of data and information governance.
- Motivated to take a strategic approach to managing IDRC’s data and information assets, including the development of goals, objectives, operating procedures, and continuous improvement planning.
- A skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills.
