Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate technology advocate to join our dynamic team at IBM TechXchange. IBM TechXchange is a new program that engages our technology practitioners through hands-on, deep technical learning and access to IBM experts through in-person experiences and virtual events. As a member of the IBM TechXchange User Advocacy team, you will be supporting our strategic user advocacy programs, working closely with IBM Champions and IBM User Groups. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to leverage their enthusiasm for technology to champion our strategic programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to content creation, fostering awareness of our programs and working alongside a multidisciplined team serving a wide community of IBM technologists.

Key Responsibilities

Social Promotion: Actively engage on various social media platforms and online communities to increase visibility and awareness of our strategic programs. Create compelling narratives that resonate with both internal and external audiences, driving interest and engagement.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work across different business units, including product management, development, sales and client engineering, to raise program awareness and interest.

Content Creation: Produce high quality, engaging content such as blog posts, social posts, videos, and presentations that clearly communicate the value and innovation of our programs to a diverse audience. Your creativity and ability to effectively communicate program benefits are key to achieving success.

Feedback Loop: Serve as a conduit for program feedback from the wider technology community and our internal teams, utilizing insights to improve and refine program offerings and promotional tactics.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Related college diploma
- 1-3 years experience social media marketing
- Experience with Khoros and Google Analytics or similar platforms
- Exposure to video editing or a willingness to learn

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- University Degree in Marketing or Business Communications
- 3-5 years experience with content creation and social media management
- 2+ years experience with video editing
