**What you need to know**:

- Perform HR tasks relating to recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, equity and diversity.
- Partners with key business leaders and HR partners to drive organizational change, growth and transformation.
- Partners with designated stakeholders, HR colleagues and COE’s to identify and deliver HR solutions that build competitive advantage, enhance organization performance and realize the business’ strategies.
- Manages key HR processes and people activities such as the Performance Management, Talent Reviews, and Succession planning. Could also be required to perform tasks relating to recruitment, compensation and/or benefits, equity, diversity, and immigration within a specific business and/or function unit.
- Instills a coaching culture when partnering with business leaders.
- Performs talent and organization diagnoses to align with business strategy and prioritize solutions that are fit for purpose to deliver benefit and desired outcomes.
- Designs, supports, and implements new or revised organizational designs as needed to deliver business results, drive role clarity, capability building and effectiveness.
- Acts as a catalyst for sustained business performance and leverages HR strategies to support the business in achieving their goals.
- Focuses on developing leadership capabilities in improving and sustaining the health of the organization. Provides advisory, coaching and execution support for business changes.
- Establishes engagement methods that better facilitate teams to work effectively across the enterprise.
- Solves problems that lie at the interface of technology, people and performance.
- Coordinates with other AIG HR Professionals (Talent Acquisition; HRSS; Global Employee Relations) to ensure consistency in approach and compliance with firm-wide human resources programs and policies.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the organization. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
- Role model of the AIG values and behaviors. Works mostly independently, with limited guidance. May lead projects.
- Proactively identify, manage and mitigate people risk.
- Ad hoc Reporting and HR projects as required. May lead projects.
- Work mostly independently, with general guidance.
- Provide backup for the Bermuda HR Manager at Validus Re as required.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources.
- Thorough knowledge of Bermuda Employment Act and Immigration policies and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of the organization preferred.
- Strong technical, human resources and business acumen.
- Proactive and attentive to deadlines while understanding the need to communicate clearly and effectively to staff and all other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills including project planning and analysis.
- Self-starter' with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and sound organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills.
- Ability to work and influence across functional departments in the organization.
- High degree of personal integrity and respect for confidentiality.
