We are currently recruiting a dynamic individual to join our senior leadership team on a permanent, full-time basis as the Vice President (VP) Patient Care Services/ Chief Nursing Executive (CNE).
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical, and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year. We work with EPIC EMR, which connects us to most hospitals in our region.
RVH provides a number of perks for staff, including up to $800 in education funds every year, an on-site modern gym open 24/7, and regular staff recognition, appreciation and wellness activities. We have a unique nursing bursary program that provides RVH nurses with thousands of dollars each year to further their education and certifications.

Due to an upcoming retirement, RVH is searching for our next Vice President, Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Executive (CNE).
Reporting to the President and CEO, you will provide strategic and operational guidance to all nursing services including medicine, surgery, critical care, complex care, palliative care, emergency and ambulatory care, infection control, physiotherapy, speech language pathology, as well as regional programs in nephrology, oncology, assault response and older adult protection services as well as community programs including Assisted Living Services.
The CNE is responsible for overseeing patient relations including quality of care and addressing any concerns regarding patient care. In this role, the CNE provides leadership at multiple regional and provincial tables acting as an advocate for our rural community hospital.
As a member of the senior leadership team the CNE is responsible for leading clinical operations and ensuring compliance with legislative and professional requirements. You will champion the provision of safe, high quality patient care ensuring that Accreditation standards are met.

- B.Sc. Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive clinical hospital leadership experience
- Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Demonstrated leadership ability, collaborator, and team builder
- Demonstrated success with planning, organization leadership, management, labour relations financial management, communication and related skills
- A visible and compassionate leader who listens, consults, collaborates and can coach others
- Proven track record of conceptualizing and operationalizing innovative ideas
- A leadership style that inspires excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Demonstrated organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task in a high volume, results oriented environment
- A demonstrated commitment to professional development and continued education
- Demonstrated ability to represent the Hospital at multiple regional and provincial tables.
