_We are seeking an energetic individual to join and assist our Team._

Reporting to the Housing Administrator and Property Manager, the Tenant Support Worker is responsible for providing housing support to seniors and families by finding supports and services for tenants who are identified as at risk. The Tenant Support Worker will participate in case planning and wrap around service delivery to seniors to help them maintain their independence and to families to support their ability to connect to health and social service agencies to help them maintain their tenancies. The Tenant Support Worker will also be part of the Healthy Lifestyles Program and will provide support services to enable persons with a diagnosed mental illness or acquired brain injury to live as independently as possible to achieve the greatest quality of life.

**Duties Include**:

- Assisting families and/or seniors identifying their support needs as their needs change, providing system navigation in the process
- Advocating for the specific housing and health needs of each household
- Participating in the case planning process with child welfare teams and youth with respect to the need to maintain housing
- Providing ongoing support to sustain/keep housing (e.g. life skills programming, financial management, budgeting, household management tenant skills)
- Ensure effective and professional communication with all internal and external service providers
- Facilitating groups covering topics: Personal Care, Nutrition, Money Management, Personal Effectiveness and Community Integration

**Qualifications Minimum Education**:

- Community Support Worker or Social Services Diploma
- Minimum of two years previous equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act (CFSA)
- Knowledge of external services and services agencies
- Strong computer skills
- Valid First Aid Certificate

**Other Requirements**:

- A good driving record and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License, with your own reliable transportation
- Clean criminal record with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, experience working in team environment, be able to problem solve and make good decisions.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work with and meet strict timelines; ability to think under stress and pressure
- Professionalism, integrity and ethical behaviour are expected with regard to client confidentiality and as well as matters concerning co-workers and SOSBIS
- Proof of first 2 COVID vaccinations is required.
