**SUMMARY**

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In consultation with the Director of Clinical Services, sets up caseworker consult time with clinical table
- Keeps detailed clinical documentation of all suggestion intervention and recommendations to caseworkers at clinical table
- Subsequent distribution of this clinical account to the Director of Clinical Services and General Authority caseworkers
- Provides consultant to the General Authority staff team as well as collateral agencies such as Children's Mental Health, Child and Family Services, schools, probation and police services
- Facilitate topic-specific training sessions as needed to support the staff teams, families and youth to help develop skills to implement treatment plans
- Provide support to other team members and act in a consultative capacity

**DIRECT SERVICE PROVISION WITH FAMILIES**
- Build a relationship with youth and families accessing the Family Support Team
- Work collaboratively with other specialists to complete assessments and provide intervention, guidance and directives to caregivers
- Support families and caregivers through identifying and reaching goals
- Refer clients and caregivers to suitable resources and advocate on their behalf if required
- Represent the Family Support Program both within and outside the organization
- Maintain open communication within the agency and fulfill administrative duties as assigned
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality with clients and families, ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed
- Maintain clinical and professional development through reading, attending workshops and peer and clinical consultation on a regular basis
- Works from a family-centred, person-centred framework maintaining a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens
- Strong understanding that a family intervention may require a multidisciplinary holistic approach

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Undergraduate degree in Human Services or accreditation from a governing Human Services College (e.g. RSW), a combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in a supervised clinical setting
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C or willingness to obtain
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, clear Child Abuse and Adult Abuse registry checks with acceptable Prior contact Checks all done within the last 3 months
- ASIST Certificate (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
- NVCI Certificate (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training)
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions and beliefs is an asset

SALARY RANGE: Dependent upon qualifications

HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week
