**Clinical Research Coordinator**:
**Primary Purpose**:To coordinate clinic research, including patient recruitment, document management, and site coordination for a multi-site and community-based research project.

**Nature of Work**: Under the direct supervision of the Research Program Director, the incumbent will be involved in a national cohort trial, focusing on HIV and HCV co-infection and an acute care implementation project. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be required to follow active participants and recruit new participants at the Royal University Hospital and the Westside Community Clinic, in Saskatoon.

**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:

- Coordinate study procedures
- Implement study protocol
- Identify and recruit eligible participants
- Enrolling study participants, including: scheduling study visits; explaining and reviewing informed consent forms; complete case report forms and questionnaires with participants
- Complete medical chart reviews
- Organize biological specimen collection and FibroScans (similar to ultrasounds) for research use
- Maintaining and updating study regulatory binders
- Timely completion of all study documentation forms, including case report forms (CRFs), queries and other study-specific documents
- Serve as liaison between clinic sites, the university, and other study sites
- Must be able to travel between Saskatoon clinical sites

**Education**: Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree desired, preferably related to biomedical sciences

**Experience**: Minimum of 1 year experience in coordination, recruiting and following participants participating in research protocols; Experience in the therapeutic areas of HIV and/or Hepatitis C would be an asset; Experience coordinating in observational research settings would also be considered an asset; Knowledge of RedCap and Inform, an asset
