Member Service Representative

We are seeking a Member Service Representative to join our BPA team in Mississauga.
The Member Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service related to member benefit plan Trust Funds as specified by a Collective Bargaining Agreement and directed by a Board of Trustees. The Member Service Representative receives and deposits all employer benefit contributions and member self payments.
**_Please note that this is a 100% in-office position._**
**The Member Service Representative will**:
- Direct all incoming calls to the correct staff member in a professional and timely manner
- Assist members in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer members’ general inquiries promptly and accurately and transfer calls to appropriate contacts for additional information
- Process member self payments by entering details into AS400 and prepare daily bank deposits
- Process returned cheques and adjustments and reconcile deposit reports from AS400 to cheques deposited in bank on a monthly basis
- Process member information cards, sector changes, transfers, expulsions, resignations, re-initiations
- Administer Life and AD&D claims
- Review Blue Cross member profiles
- Produce and review Friendly Reminders and Termination Letters, Widow Extension letters
- Prepare monthly union dues deductions from Pension Reporting
- Conduct filing
- Prepare ad hoc reporting upon request
**T**o be successful **as a** **Member Service Representative** with BPA, you will need**:
- At least 2 or more years of customer service experience (handling inbound calls from clients) and administrative experience
- Good with data entry and numbers
- Postgraduate diploma or degree
- Ability to work well under pressure and accurately process a high volume of work in a timely manner
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good mathematical ability and knowledge of accounting principles
- Cooperative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.

- Bilingualism in English & French
