Reporting to the Education Program Coordinator, the Theatre Camp Supervisor will plan, develop and help facilitate day-to-day camp programming. They will supervise the Theatre Camp Counsellors working in the program and provide ongoing direction, supervision and evaluations. The Theatre Camp Supervisor will assist the Education Program Coordinator and Theatre Camp Director in establishing and implementing the annual orientation for Theatre Camp Counsellors. The Theatre Camp Supervisor will be responsible for performance material preparations and completing administrative duties. They are required to work the final performances of each session.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop the day-to-day programming for a specific Camp Program and Before and After Camp Program that meets the children’s age and developmental abilities.
- Modify camp programming to ensure campers with disabilities are able to participate in programs and be fully integrated into the camp setting.
- Ensure there are a variety of activities in the camp program that targets the specific genre of the camp.
- Develop resource and performance material for the Camp Counsellors to assist them in delivering the various activities in the program.
- Provide ongoing supervision and evaluation of the Camp Counsellors.
- Ensure the Before and After Camp Supervisors have scheduled staff to work in the Before and After Camp Program.
- Ensure camp ratios are met at all times.
- Work with the Camp Volunteers to ensure they are included in the programs and have various responsibilities.
- Communicate and interact with participants and make everyone feel welcome
- Ensure campers safety and security throughout the day.
- Assist in the implementation of camp training
- Ensure the camp staff payroll is completed and submitted to the Theatre Camp Director in a timely manner
- Complete all necessary forms (accident, incident) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Represent the City of Richmond Hill by presenting yourself in a cooperative, organized, enthusiastic and well-groomed manner.
- Report to work promptly.
- Wear assigned uniform and name tag.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and staff training sessions.
- Know and understand the policies and procedures of the Community Services Department.
- Maintain excellent public relations at all time, with staff and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required to work scheduled final camp show performances (RHCPA every second Thursday until 8PM, Langstaff every Friday until 5PM)

- High School Diploma
- Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification
- High Five PHCD Certification
- Background experience with acting, music, dancing or other performing arts

**Required Skills/Knowledge**:

- Background knowledge in program planning including crafts, music, sports and games.
- Experience working in the area of specialty that the camp focuses on.
- Previous experience in a day camp setting, supervising staff and dealing directly with the public.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization and administrative skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
