Reporting to a section head or excluded manager and working in a variety of settings, the Authorizations Specialist provides senior technical advice and may make decisions regarding the allocation of resources and adjudication of resource authorizations for the Natural Resource Sector.

**Job Requirements**:
**Education**
- Undergraduate Degree or higher in natural resource management or related field and 2 years of related experience*, OR
- A Technical Diploma in natural resource management and 3 years of related experience*, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience* may be considered.
- **Related experience includes**:

- Experience working in natural resource management.
- Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
- Experience in consulting, negotiating and resolving conflicts with stakeholders in natural resource management.

**Preference may be given to those with 1 or more of the following**:

- 5 (or more) years of experience working in natural resource management.
- Experience working in land authorizations.
- Experience with land valuation analysis, techniques, and principles to ensure a fair and equitable return to the Crown for the allocation of these and related resources (e.g., land appraisals, timber).
- Experience working with and/or knowledge of real estate law.
