**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Install, configure, and maintain a variety of computer hardware, software, network equipment, and servers across client sites, ensuring peak performance and security.
- Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting and upgrading Mac and Windows operating systems, including but not limited to Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Identify and solve complex hardware, software, and network problems, reducing downtime while maximizing user satisfaction.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and system updates to prolong the life and efficiency of IT infrastructures.
- Monitor network performance, executing necessary enhancements to guarantee a robust and dependable infrastructure.
- Quickly respond to technical support inquiries, providing effective end-user solutions and a superior customer service experience.
- Work closely with the IT team on multiple network projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Remain updated on the latest tech advances, adopting industry best practices and recommending system updates to maintain modern, secure IT frameworks.
- Develop and keep up-to-date technical documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides, benefiting both the team and end-users.
- Travel to various client sites across Canada as required, delivering exceptional on-site technical support and optimizing IT performance.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Extensive experience as an IT Field Engineer or similar role, demonstrating comprehensive technical skills.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, Windows and macOS operating systems, networking protocols, and security practices.
- Adept at efficiently resolving hardware and software issues, minimizing downtime while ensuring user contentment.
- Knowledgeable in network management, including the operation of switches, routers, firewalls, and other essential network apparatus.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication abilities, proficient in translating complex technical details into understandable terms for non-technical users.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team, adjusting to dynamic priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Desirable certifications include CompTIA A+, ITIL, Network+, Security+, and CCNA, reflecting a dedication to ongoing professional development.
**Requirements**:
- Possession of a valid work authorization for employment in Canada.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Possession of a valid BC Class 5 driver's license and consistent access to a reliable vehicle for visiting client offices within Metro Vancouver.
- Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, and arrange for assistance when dealing with equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
- Preparedness to undergo and successfully clear our background and credit checks as part of the onboarding process.
