We are seeking a Supervisor of our Esprit Place Family Resource Centre. Reporting to the Director of Women’s Services the Supervisor of Esprit is responsible for achieving and maintaining high standards in the overall delivery of Violence Against Women programs and services, including Esprit Place emergency residential services, Child Witness Program, and outreach programming. The supervisor will ensure staff are performing and delivering quality services to the clients. This position is responsible for collaborating with supervisors throughout the DSSAB to ensure comprehensive service delivery, and for meeting all reporting quality, assurance program requirements.
- Successful completion of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in social services, human services or health related discipline. Professional designation from an Ontario professional association or licensing body preferred (i.e., RSW; OT; RP; RN; RPN; OAMHP)
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated supervisory experience and 5 years of experience in the gender-based violence or social services sector.
- Knowledge and experience in the operations of a congregate setting, including general household maintenance, scheduling, and problem solving.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, prioritize, and multitask in a 24/7 environment with multiple demands and conflicting priorities.
- Broad knowledge of gender-based issues in the field of VAW, and knowledge and understanding of all legislation relevant to the position.
- Highly organized with strong administrative and budgeting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in Emotional Intelligence and coaching.
- An ability to work with compassion, to learn about issues of social justice, and to work within anti-racism and anti-oppression frameworks.
- Strong computer literacy skills in a windows environment and ability to work with new computer technology.
- Ability to travel throughout the district as required.
- Valid certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.

**Responsibilities Include (partial list)**:

- Responsible for supervising the Esprit Place Shelter, 24-hour crisis/support line, Community Outreach, and Child Witness program across the district through organization, planning and resourcing.
- Manages the performance of shelter staff by maintaining positive and focused communication systems that support teamwork and promote collaborative working relationships, while ensuring compliance with legislation and DSSAB policies
- Under the direction of the HR Director, participates in the recruitment & selection, orientation, training and evaluation of staff to effectively fulfill staffing needs.

**Salary Range: $85,108.74 - $104,673.01 annually**
